SIM Card Required for Cellular Service: I already have a SIM Card for my alarm system or will purchase one from another supplier; I will pay the cellular bill directly. I would like to purchase a pay-as-you-go SIM Card from Shield Tech. SIM Cards are $30 which include activation and one month of service. Cellular service is paid directly to the cellular company and is only $3/month which includes 100 minutes & 100 texts per month.

Cellular alarms require their own cellular service just like cellular tablets and cellular phones. A phone number will be assigned to your alarm so it is able to make a phone call.

This is the phone number attached to the phone line that the alarm uses to call the central station. Some alarm systems require this phone number to be validated using Caller ID when sending alarm signals. Unless you have a separate phone line for the alarm system, this should be the same as your home or office phone number. If your alarm is using cellular service, this is the cellular phone number that is assigned to it.
