Policies
NO HASSLE 30 DAY RETURNS
Our goal is to ensure you are completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are dissatisfied, simply contact us within 30 days from the date of purchase.
We will attempt to troubleshoot any issues you may have first, but if you are still unhappy you may return your purchase to us. You will need to package your item to it's original new condition with all it's original packaging. We understand if items aren't packaged perfectly; please package them as close to how they came to you.
RETURN SHIPPING
Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable since they are actual charges we encored. If you received free shipping and handling, we will deduct the exact costs we encored to ship your product. Our customers are also responsible for any return shipping charges.
RESTOCKING FEES
a.) Returned packages with all components in new condition have no restocking fees.
Returned packages with any components in used condition have a low $5.00 restocking fee.
DAMAGED ITEM FEES
b.) If an item is returned with writing, scuffs, marks, scratches, tape, or other deformities on it, OR, if it is without it's original packaging, we charge a $1.00 damaged item fee per component in this condition.
c.) In addition, if an item is returned in a non-resalable condition, we may deduct the dollar amount required to refurbish the item to a resalable condition.
DIRECT LIMITED WARRANTY
We offer a 1-year limited warranty on all of our products from defects during what is considered to be normal use. The customer must obtain a Return Authorization Number before returning any products for review. We have the right to refuse any returns without a Return Authorization Number.
The customer is responsible to keep all sales records and must provide
proof of purchase, proof of the purchase date, and proof of original
ownership upon our request. However, in most cases we will opt
not to request such information if all required information can be
located in our records.
We do not replace items due to damages caused from installation errors (i.e. an installer connecting a (-) wire to a (+) wire causing damage to our products,) damaged caused by installing our product in a manner not intended for it's use (i.e. installing an inside component in an outdoor atmosphere), or any other damage that is not considered to be normal use.
We do not warrant the screen on LCD Remotes or key fobs since remotes are easily dropped, sat on, or caused to break from other normal use. However, the functionality of the LCD Remotes and key fobs will be covered under our limited warranty when appropriate.
BATTERY WARRANTY
Due to the nature of the product, we can only warranty our batteries for 60 days after the purchase date. However, if a battery goes dead in an unreasonable amount of time, please contact us as we may be able to work with you.
CELLULAR WARRANTY
All cellular products are protected from manufacturer defects under our 1-year warranty program. We do not guaranty 2G, 3G, 4G, 4G LTE, etc., service will be available or remain available in the customer's area during our 1-year product warranty period. Therefore, if the 2G, 3G, 4G, 4G LTE, etc. service is discontinued by the customer's cellular provider, the customer's alarm system may stop functioning without notice. Before purchasing an alarm system, the customer shall contact their local cellular provider, AT&T or T-Mobile, to ensure the 2G, 3G, 4G, 4G LTE, etc. cellular network is supported.
2G Service
2G Alarm Systems (60 Days): If 2G Cellular Service becomes unavailable within 60 days of purchase (both AT&T and T-Mobile), we will allow the customer to exchange their keypad to a 3G alarm system for the price difference between systems. The customer is responsible for exact return postage, both directions.
2G Alarm Systems (Over 60 Days): If 2G Cellular Service becomes unavailable between 61 to 365 days of purchase (both AT&T and T-Mobile), we will allow the customer to exchange their keypad to a 3G, 4G, or LTE alarm system for $75-$150. (Depends on the system.) The customer is responsible for exact return postage, both directions.
NOTE: This upgrade fee is subject to change without notice. We will use the most recent upgrade price listed in this section upon the customer's request to upgrade keypads. Upgrade requests will require verification that 2G service is no longer available at the billing or shipping address that was used at the time of purchase. If T-Mobile service is available, but AT&T service is not available (or vise-versa), the customer must use the service (T-Mobile or AT&T) that is available in their area.
3G Service
3G Alarm Systems (60 Days): If 3G Cellular Service becomes unavailable within 60 days of purchase (both AT&T and T-Mobile), we will allow the customer to exchange their keypad to a 4G or LTE alarm system for the price difference between systems. The customer is responsible for exact return postage, both directions.
3G Alarm Systems (Over 60 Days): If 3G Cellular Service becomes unavailable between 61 to 365 days of purchase (both AT&T and T-Mobile), we will allow the customer to exchange their keypad to a 4G or LTE alarm system for $75-$150. (Depends on the system.) The customer is responsible for exact return postage, both directions.

DEFECTIVE PART(S) RETURN SHIPPING CHARGES
If within 30 days of purchase, upon request, we will provide all USA customers with a prepaid return shipping label to exchange defective product(s). Sorry, we cannot provide international customers with return shipping labels. After 30 days of purchase, all customers are responsible to pay return shipping charges. No return labels will be provided for “buyer’s remorse” or for refunds. Pre-paid shipping labels are provided for exchanges only.
SOLE DISCRETION OF SHIELD TECH SECURITY, LLC.
Although extremely unlikely, we have the sole right and discretion, and may for any reason, defer you to the manufacturer for warranty related issues, repairs, and replacement part requests. We may also decline your direct warranty request without reason and defer you to the manufacturer for all future warranty issues. We may opt to take this type of action when we feel a customer is attempting to take advantage of us, committing fraud, or is otherwise not operating in good faith. We may also opt to take this type of action if a customer files a claim against us or leaves us a negative review without first contacting us, allowing us ample time to respond, to resolve an issue. It should be noted that we always work with our customers to resolve issues so there should never be a need to file a claim or leave a negative review.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT
We offer technical support as a free service by email, online chat, and phone. This service is offered at the sole discretion of Shield Tech Security. This service is not included with the sale of our products and although very unlikely, we may decline or stop providing this service at any time.
INTERNATIONAL BUYERS
Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the customer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.
